Why was this revokation so bad you may ask? Well, it allowed full downloads to all of our files from anyone who bothered to notice the download popup...

So all passwords have been changed on the site, and I'm re-operating on the principle of trust that no one stole too much of my coding...

If you did happen to sneak a peek at some coding you must really be amazed at the anal retentiveness that ends up in every bit of my PHP/MySQL coding lol...

Sooo, time to do some updates!

In the coming weeks you'll likely notice, nothing... That's because our first major updates will be geared towards cleaning up the code from the last time I did some major updates...

After this cleanup period, I'll be working on adding more of the areas to be able to be worked on from an admin panel, and bringing some people like MartyMar on board to help with some day to day items...

Those who're accessing this site through RJ can now see the new text formatting that I was so giddy about yesterday ;)...

I have also added a "Justify" alignment to go with the others (which was added to both stylesheets today) and is being tested in this news post ;).


Additionally, I've been poking around online at various formatting tags (especially their CSS counterparts) and I've made even more code updates (mainly to the way lists work), as you can see from the other news posting (below) that I've added some new list tags so that i can define how different lists work.

I've also added support for lists to be displayed; although I have to publish them all on one line, it'll display to the user (you) as intended due to the proper coding inserted in the system.

I also did some tweaking on the url and email tags and finally have them working (go figure, I simply had to move one tag up in the order they where processed).

I also did some adding to the alignment properties so, if the need arises, i can:
Left Align Text

Center Align Text

Right Align Text


The formatting updates won't really be of much consequence to any RSS readers, unless they support my CSS encoding (you can find the formatting block in the stylesheet fairly easily).

These feeds can be loaded via any RSS reader for your computer, via google's rss reader, or any other site which supports rss2.0 feeds.

I've done some testing against several validators and the feeds all have passed their validity test for the rss2.0 specification.

Our new forum is available on the left sidebar via the "Forum" link; it is running UBB.Threads 7.0.2 (formerly NG was running UBB.Threads 6.0 which was very, very old). I've done much work with Groupee (formerly Infopop) over the years on both their UBB.Threads and UBB.Classic products, so there wasn't really any guess that they're who I'd choose ;).

We'll see how popular the forum is in the coming months, I've gotten the ok from our host for more resources for the site so it won't be any hassle to run it ;).

This attack not only blew away other users on our shared host, the datacenter also pulled the plug for it and thus disturbed quite a lot of sites...

For those of you who are unfamilliar with Denial of Service attacks, quite simply put, someone didn't like a site on this server so they sent a lot of traffic from numerous (generally hacked) servers to occupy the server and waste bandwidth.

We recieved a sugguestion to have the cave listing page link to the cave maps for the cave; giving some thought to the request I decided to take it a step farther...

If a link exists the cave listing will display the cave name as a link; these links can vary by:
1. If there is a map for the cave it'll be displayed as the link -unless-
2. If there is a cave run for the cave it'll be displayed as the link

If a link exists in the database for both, it'll display the link as the cave run...

The cave run's page has also been adapted to display a link to the cave map (should one exist).

Its working well and easier to move around, allbeit I'm putting off other sections to work on this for the time being ;)...
